Patricia Leonard has been appointed New York New Music Ensemble’s new Managing Director in September 2019. In this leadership role, she will oversee the ensemble's operations to include concert production, marketing, board relations, philanthropy and exciting new initiatives. Patricia has held prominent positions with major arts organizations to include the Metropolitan Opera and Manhattan Theatre Club. Her educational background is in music composition, studying under Pulitzer Prize-winning composer David Del Tredici and Larry Bell. Ms. Leonard is the recipient of Opera America’s Discovery Grant for Female Composers for her opera MY DEAREST FRIEND, based on the letters of John and Abigail Adams. She received her degree in composition from Boston Conservatory.
